Last day for extra 20% off at Anthro~

Hey guys!  Hope your summer is going great.  I have been busy keeping the kids entertained while they are out of school.  Lot of art projects and day trips!  But, I was able to sneak away to my happy place for Anthropologie's additional 20% off red tag sale!  I found some good deals and bought a bunch of items that were on my wish list.  The absolute best SCORE was a pair of AG Stevie jeans (reg $168) that I found for $9.95!  WHAT?!  I was so happy!
Below are some of my favorite finds and dressing room pics as well

I loved these Level 99 Wide-leg linen pants $49.95.  Very comfortable and breezy for summer and the colors were vibrant and beautiful!  I got them in the Orange and the Turquoise

What to wear when it's DAMN hot out

Hey guys!  This past week was HOT here in Green Valley (92* every day!), and I think it was just a taste of what's in store for the summer.  I wore a lot of sun dresses to keep cool, but was in the market for something else.
I am having a hard time finding denim shorts that I like and that aren't so short you can see my lady parts (WHY are tiny cut-off shorts so trendy right now?  They are NOT flattering at all).  I have given up on my quest for the perfect pair of shorts and have found an alternative to the endless dresses I wear.

WIDE-LEG pants!  I found a pair that I LOVE at Anthropologie!  They are lightweight and loose which allows the air to vent nicely.  They are very comfortable and feels like I'm wearing PJ bottoms.  I love the bohemian/gypsy look and feel of them as well.  These pants were a compliment generator!  I had so many people that stopped me and asked me where I got them.

I paired mine with a fitted tank from Old Navy ($3.50!) to give myself some shape. Wide-Leg pants are also perfect if you have a muffin top you wish to hide or bigger thighs.  Just pair it with a loose shirt (not to loose otherwise you will look like you're wearing a tent) or a peplum top.

I only bought one pair, but will be headed back this week for more!  Try on a pair and tell me what you think!
Happy Shopping!

CUTE AFFORDABLE SHORTS AT OLD NAVY...

Bring on the warm weather!!
I have been in the market for some new shorts for summer.  I went to Old Navy and was happy with their selection.  I really like that they have a variety of lengths (SUPER short to bermuda length).  They also have a good variety of colors and prints too.  I  SCORED some cute neon pink shorts and distressed denim boyfriend shorts.  Where do you buy yours at?
Here is my OOTD (outfit of the day).  I paired the neon pink shorts (totally on trend and makes you look TAN!) with a white bohemian tunic that I got at Gap Outlet for a casual yet pulled together look.  ***Old Navy also has adorable flip flops that are cheap NOT to mention their jewelry!
*** IF YOU ORDER ONLINE shorts are 15% off!
Here is the outfit... Happy shopping!

I LOVE the 80's! Everything Old is New Again!

Hello all!  After a very long hiatus, I am back thanks to a VERY pleasant surprise shout out (and nudge) from a mention in a popular blog  http://doppelhanger.tumblr.com.  Thanks Monica!  I'm looking forward to starting this up again and sharing all my deals I find and how I style the look.  So, bear with me as I get back in the saddle!

My pre-teen years were smack dab in the middle of the AWESOME 1980's fashion craze.  I'm talking about jelly shoes, jelly bracelets, NEON COLORS (neon pink, neon yellow and that horrible green), big hair and lots of stripes.  I was a NEON lover!  Mostly hot pink, but I would wear anything neon.  This is why I am so happy that neon was made a comeback this Spring season!
Although, I would not wear head to toe neon again, I do love playing with accents of bright pops of color.  Belts, shoes, jewelry, and scarves, are all things I am having fun playing with by adding color.  My advise is to accent your outfit with a pop of neon. Add a hot pink belt or earrings to an otherwise plain outfit.  It will compliment the look without going overboard.  Some people are very afraid of color, so accents are a great first step to color!  Try it~and let me know what you think!

Below is a VERY comfortable dress I just found at Old Navy ($15!), and they had neon belts (2 for $14).  I also added a bright yellow necklace for a fun spring time look.
Let me know what you think!  Is this something you'd try?
Until next time...

High-Low Trend; the Mullet of the Fashion World

Happy Labor Day weekend!  I can't believe Summer is done.  The weather has been perfect here.  A little warm, but not scorching.  Just warm enough for strapless dresses.
The latest trend is the high-low length.  A high-low skirt or dress has a shorter hem in the front and longer hem in the back.  Some have described it as the mullet of the fashion world.  I am in love with this trend because it is sophisticated yet flirty and has a great flowy feel.  It is very flattering and can give the "vertically challenged" an illusion of longer legs.  For us taller girls, it showcases our long limbs.  It's very versatile and can be dressed down or up depending on your accessories and shoes.
Below is a dress I found at Nordstrom in the BP section and it was $52.  It's light weight and airy and I love the pattern.  I'm happy to see the trend continuing in to the Fall.  So, try it on and see how it works on you!
***Just an FYI- tonight is the last night of additional 25% off sale clothes and shoes at Anthropologie (www.anthropologie.com).  I took advantage of the sale and will post all my finds next (=  Have a great week!

THIS OUTFIT COST $18 !! WHATTTTT?!!

I was doing my bi-weekly shopping visit to Target, DETERMINED to stick to my list of razors, soap, kids shampoo and dry erase pens (for back to school, which were impossible to find), and of course I had to browse the clothes.  I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything for me, when this pretty little red dress jumped out at me and said, "TAKE ME HOME"!  It was my size, on the clearance rack and ONLY $6.00, so naturally I adopted it!  I just LOVE this dress and the best part is I had a necklace at home that matched it perfectly!  Such a fun, flirty, comfortable dress that can be dressed up or down.  OHHHH and the sandals are on sale at Target for $12~  I bought them at the beginning of summer, but are now on clearance.
In conclusion, rush on down to Target and stock up on their SUPER cheap and very fashionable deals!
